Rice Cake

After an hour of struggling and frustrated cries last night, DH and I gave in and handed Puppy a piece of rice cake. He grasped it and started gnawing on it. That certainly quietened him down, and after 10 minutes of the rice cake experiment, put him back on the breast.

I don't think he was all that ready or able to eat the rice cake, but I wonder if this signals the time when we should be introducing him to complementary foods.
